Easter bunny

The easter bunny paid Aaron a visit at Nan and Papa's house. He was just about to get his clothes on when he found his stash of gifts, which is why he's not wearing any clothes yet! He got a little bubble machine, some bubbles, a toy cell phone, and a baseball shaped bank. He was first drawn to the bank and decided to throw it, because it was shaped like a baseball! Thank goodness we were on carpet! He then found his cell phone and played with that for the next 30 minutes! He puts the phone up to his ear and says something that resembles "hi"!!! Aaron had a really cute outfit that he wore for our Easter celebration at Nan and Papa's, but we didn't manage to get any pictures before he got it all dirty! Rookie parents! Hope that you all had a great Easter!

Easter egg hunt

Aaron got to participate in his first easter egg hunt at Nan and Papa's house in Fort Dodge. He had a great time and enjoyed picking the eggs up and walking around with them. He tried to nab eggs from most of his cousins baskets though! Good thing they all like him or he could have been in trouble! Thanks for the fun, Nan and Papa!

Congratulations to the Johnson Family!

Tabitha, Chris, and Lilly added 2 beautiful babies to the Johnson family and I wanted to share some photos. Eli Christopher and Ella Jean are absolutely perfect and have made the Johnson trio into a party of five! Big sister Lilly is very proud, but wasn't around the hospital this afternoon to get in these photos. We got to spend more time with the Johnsons when the came home from the hospital, but with all of the kids between us, I didn't get any photos!

Can't wait to see them on our next visit!

Almost one year photos

Aaron and I are in Fort Dodge visiting with my family this week, so we decided to get Aaron's almost a year old photos taken. Brett turns 5 at the end of April and Claire just turned 2, so we thought we would all get our photos taken together. As an extra bonus, we took a few pictures of the three of them together! The kids did a great job and 2 1/2 hours later, we left the Sears photo studio. It's amazing that nobody had a meltdown through that long process!! Here are some of the great shots.....

Aaron's first haircut

Aaron got his first haircut yesterday, at 10 1/2 months old. His hair was getting pretty long and was hanging over his ears and curling in the back. It was a hard to decide when to cut his hair for the first time. His curls really were cute, but it was getting long on the top and the sides. There was a part of me that wanted to keep the hair because it made him look like a baby and not a big boy, but now that he's walking, I realized that keeping the baby hair didn't keep him a baby! Connor was also in need of his first haircut, so Kate and I decided to do it together! There's a really cute place in Chicago called Snippets that is only for kids, so that's where we went.

I wasn't sure what Aaron would think of the whole process, so I prepared myself for the worst! I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't have ANY problems at all!! He let Anastacia cut his hair and even let her use the clippers to trim up the back and sides! He didn't keep his head still the entire time, but he didn't whine or cry or act like it bothered him at all! Connor wasn't so sure about his haircut, but after some coaxing with a lollipop and a comb to chew on, he settled down and let her do the job. The clippers were out of the question, but he got a nice scissor cut!

Kate and I were really proud of our big boys! I included some of them today- first day with their new 'do's! Enjoy the pictures!
