Happy Halloween!

We decided to start the day off on a festive note and put Aaron right into his costume this morning. He really enjoyed seeing himself in the mirror and laughed at his alligator costume, but the rest of the time he wasn't sure that he really liked it very much! He certainly does make a darling little green gator though! Happy Halloween to everyone!

More pumpkin fun!

Aaron loves his pumpkins

Aaron and I went out and got 2 pumpkins for carving, but the boys have had so much fun playing with them that we have just had them sitting on the floor for the past few days! Here are some pictures of their fun!

Look at my bath seat...

Aaron got a hand-me-down bath seat from Tony and Angie (thanks guys) that is now working perfectly for him. He continues to love to take baths. He likes to eat his bath toys, as you'll see in these photos, and splash around in the water. He was getting really rowdy in this little baby bath tub (that we used in the big bath tub) and was trying to sit up in it, so bath time was getting a little hard! Now he's sitting up nicely and can reach the things that he wants without almost taking a header out of the little tub!!!

This is my favorite pose!

I have had a really hard time catching Aaron in this position, but this is something that we see him do hundreds of times a day. He leans off to one side (putting all of his weight on one elbow and arm) and uses the other arm to play with toys, grab things, etc. It looks like he's in a yoga pose or something- it's hilarious! As Tanya would call it, it's kind of his 'sexy' pose! Ha, ha. Just wanted to share this with you. Aaron is really on the move these days..... here are some pictures of him 'playing'. He certainly gets himself around!!! (In this last photo- look way in the back to find Aaron!)

Funny little sleeper!

Just wanted to share some photos of Aaron's favorite sleeping position. He loves to sleep with his little knees up underneath of him with his butt up in the air! It's SO funny and cute.

Our little pumpkin

We're getting Aaron ready for Halloween! Here are some photos of him in more of his holiday wear. The pumpkin suit is one that I thought he might wear for his costume, but now we've decided that he'll be wearing a different costume. But I had to get some pictures of him in the pumpkin! He was hilarious when I put it on him- it's got a bunch of padding at the bottom and it took him a few tries to get himself rolled over in it!! (Thanks for the halloween card, Amy, Dan, Brett, & Claire!)

Trip down memory lane

As most of you know, my twin sister Amy has a little boy named Brett. Brett was born on April 28th, 4 years before Aaron. I spoiled Brett just a little bit and cute little clothes always ended up jumping in my shopping cart for him! Now that is totally working out to my advantage, because Aaron is getting to wear all of the fun clothes that Brett had! Thankfully, they seem to be following the same growth patterns so far (Brett was also a good sized boy, though he's a thin little guy now because he never stops running around). So Aaron is often wearing clothes that Amy and I have vivid memories of Brett wearing. This outfit was one of my favorites, so I had to put a couple of these pictures up for Amy and Brett to see! Awwww.....

Weekend fun!

Just sharing a little bit of our fun from the weekend! Aaron is getting more fun every day- we are really enjoying how his little personality is coming out. On the flip side to that, he's also getting a little more opinionated and slightly less easy going, so I guess you take the good with the not quite as good! Here are some pictures of our weekend. The first two are of our trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday (the weather was perfect this weekend) and the third one is of Aaron in the shirt that our friend Shevawn gave him when he was born (watch what you say, my mom's an SLP!). The fourth picture needs a little explanation. Aaron's new favorite thing to do is purse his lips up and blow air and spit out of them, sort of like a raspberry, but usually without his tongue sticking out! He loves to 'talk' and for a week or so, he was constantly babbling the syllable 'bu' over and over. He then figured out if he put a little more force behind it, his lips would make this great sound and sometimes sit would even come out! You can imagine his excitement! He even enjoyed making that noise through church yesterday! (He's also wearing the onesie with the big A that Lindzy made for him, which we love!) The last picture is of Aaron, after eating rice cereal in his high chair, sporting his Coenen University t-shirt that Angie and Tony had made for him! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Friday fun!

Just adding a few photos for some Friday fun! Tim and Aaron are posing in a very cheesy fashion with Aaron's rice cereal. Our little pumpkin has fallen asleep during his last bottle in his new bib from Tanya! Aaron is having fun with his Pop-A-Pillar toy that Liz and Laura gave to him.
