September fun!

Passing on some new photos of Aaron. He's had a fun September so far. We took a trip to Fort Dodge, so he got to spend time with lots of friends and family there. He loves watching the other kids- I think that he just can't wait till he can run around with them! They are all really good about talking to him (making him laugh and smile) and they love to hold him! Aaron has been enjoying trip to the park and loves the swings. This weekend, Kate and I took Aaron and Connor up to Wisconsin to go apple picking at Apple Holler and had a great time. Aaron liked strolling along and watching Connor take bites out of apple after apple after apple. I think he bit out of 6 apples by the time we were done! Thanks for checking in on us!

Just a quick update- Aaron had his 4 month check-up and shots today. He weighed in at 16 pounds 8 ounces (> 50th percentile) and is 25 inches long (75th - 90th percentile). Dr. Kadzin said that Aaron looks great!

Go Packers!

Sending out a photo of the cutest little Packer fan that you will ever see!  He's ready for the big game tonight and is really hoping things go well for the Pack!

4 months old!

Just a quick update from the Coenen household.  Aaron turned 4 months old yesterday and celebrated in style, with a trip to Milwaukee to visit Amy and Arthur, Beth and Laura while Mom and Dad went the Brewers game.  He loves visiting his family and is looking forward to a trip to Fort Dodge this upcoming weekend.  Aaron is doing great and changing a ton every day.  He really enjoys playing with his toys now- bringing all of them to his mouth for a good chomp!  He goes to the doctor tomorrow for his 4 month appointment and shots (as well as a follow-up check because he had an ear infection a couple of weeks ago), so I'll try to get on and update his weight and length.  We know that he's over 16.5 pounds now and has graduated to size 3 diapers!!!  He's no little thing- that's for sure!

We took our first family vacation on Labor Day weekend to see our wonderful friends, Beth and Meghan, who moved to Atlanta about a year ago.  We had a great time and they were amazing hosts!  We did a lot of hanging out at home, playing games and grilling, which allowed Aaron to stay on a relatively normal schedule, which was really nice.  They had fun meeting Aaron for the first time and he loved them!  I'll include a few pictures of the trip.  Check out the darling hat that they bought for Aaron at the World of Coke!  (Thanks guys!)

Thanks for checking in on us.  Hope that you're all doing well!
