Father's Day

So I'm really, really late with this post, but I wanted to share some pictures of Tim and the kids on Father's Day.

I feel very blessed to have a wonderful Dad and to be married to a man who is a terrific father to our children!

Here is my handsome husband and our lovely children!

Rub a dub dub, 2 Coenens in a tub!

Here is a glimpse at the first double bath for our children. They both loved it! Aaron only poured water over Maggie's head once, and he was caught in the act by Tim with a photo! Maggie loves Aaron and is so happy when she can watch him, smile at him, and giggle at him!

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo... what about you, you, you

Sharing some pictures of a recent trip to the zoo. We had a great time exploring the new Wild Bear Wilderness and watching the dolphin show in their newly remodeled home. Aaron loved running through the spray of water that come from an elephant trunk at the elephant exhibit. We all had a great day andlook forward to many, many more visits to the zoo this summer!

Two tired kiddos after a fun day at the zoo!

Look who is rolling now.....

Maggie rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time on Memorial Day at 10 weeks old. She was laying on our bed at 6 am (the time of the morning that she likes to get up) and she rolled over twice. It's not one fluid motion yet, but she does it in steps. First she rolls onto her side (she loves to lay on her side and often sleeps that way), then she gets herself pushed over to her tummy, then she gets her little arm out from underneath of her. It's really cute to watch! Here are some photos of the process.

Memorial Day weekend fun!

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! My parents came to Chicago to visit us while Tim was in New York/New Jersey to be in his friend Aaron's wedding.

On Saturday Nanny, Papa, the kids, and I traveled to Michigan to visit some wineries and spend time with my aunt Linda and Uncle Bob and my cousin Jarrod, his wife Molly, and their daughter, Nora. Nora will be 2 in August and she and Aaron had a great time playing together! They were all staying at this really cute place with little cottages. The kids had a ball playing in the sand box, on the swing set and tire swing, climbing around on the logs, and running around in the grass and woods. Papa even found a bike to ride, which Aaron loved and is still talking about!

Looking forward to doing this again next year for the holiday weekend! :)
