A summer day at the beach

I'm really late with a lot of things these days, but better late than never! Wanted to add some pictures of an awesome day that we spent at the beach with our friends Kate, Connor, & Sawyer and Kristen & Addy. The weather was perfect and we had a blast playing in the sand and swimming around in the water.

This is how Maggie spends much of her time- UNDER the water!  She's a daring little water baby and loves being underwater, though she prefers being underwater in the pool rather than the lake!

Downtown day

We have had a few downtown days this summer and decided to spend another day downtown during Chicago's Air and Water show.

Downtown day began with some delicious treats at Do Rite donuts!  Here are Maggie and Aaron in the donut out front.

We went to the Family Fun fest at Millenium Park for some play time.  Maggie is blowing bubbles.

The Museum of Science and Industry was hosting one of the activities and had someone blowing these bubbles that you can catch and the don't pop when you touch them.  Here are a few that landed in Maggie's hair and stayed intact for like 10 min!

Maggie often puts her sunglasses on upside down.  I think they are cuter that way!  And it's adorable when she wants to wear Aaron's Spiderman glasses, rather than her girly pair.

Maggie was getting really big for her little toddler bed, so she recently got a new twin bed. She loves her big girl bed and her new bedding!

Our little girl is definitely growing up!

Saturday morning music

This was the scene on a recent Saturday morning at our house.  I was doing laundry and Aaron asked to get out some paint cans and get some kitchen tools (spoons, bowl scrapers, etc.) to use for sticks.  They had a blast!  I wonder why we ever buy toys!

Aaron had been asking to play Rock Band for awhile, so Tim got it all set up and we did some rockin'!

This is a hilarious face that Maggie makes sometimes when you ask her to say cheese!
