Summer fun- Father's Day, bath time, and swim time!!!

We're having a great June so far! I'm sharing lots of photos in this post, so get ready to look at a load of them!

First of all, Aaron's hair is getting really long again and curling in the back! It's definitely time for another hair cut and we're hoping to get around to that sometime this week. But for now, I've just been having fun making his hair into a nice long mohawk, especially in the bathtub!!




Aaron has a new love for furniture in the past month or so. He loves to climb on the furniture and rock back and forth on the rocking chair, while standing on it like it's some kind of surf board! Needless to say, we try to always be around when this is happening! He will request that you pick him up and then try to push/pull you off of the chair so he can be on it alone!


I have decided that this is the summer of full sized fruit for Aaron, as I've been lazily just giving him the entire piece of fruit to eat, rather than cutting it up. He thinks that he's absolutely in heaven, so I had to share some of the photos. Here he is attacking his nectarine before we have some fun in the pool.



We got a little pool to put out on the deck and Aaron (and Connor) have had a lot of fun playing around in it on our 85+ degree days! Aaron is also really enjoying a cup with a straw and is hauling it around the deck and pool with him in these photos!




Happy Father's Day to Tim!! We had a great time taking Aaron to the zoo on Father's Day and wanted to share some photos. Aaron is sporting his Dad's #1 Fan shirt with foam finger! Love it!

Little People at the show!

I told a friend of mine that we were taking Aaron to the Little People show and she said, "You mean the Roloff's from TLC!" Hilarious- I guess I should have specified the Fisher Price Little People!

We had a fun time seeing the show at the Brookfield Zoo last weekend and wanted to share a few photos. They did a lot of singing and dancing and the show only lasted 25-30 minutes, so it was perfect. Aaron enjoyed dancing, clapping to the music, and of course, watching all of the other little people!

Memorial day fun and a weekend away for Mom!

We had a great visit with my good friend from high school over Memorial Day weekend. Gretchen, Adam, Avery, and Ben came to stay with us and we had so much fun! We went to the Shedd Aquarium, Millenium Park, and even found an afternoon for just the girls to take Avery to the American Girl store. Thanks to the Haisman crew for a fun weekend!!











This past weekend, Tim stayed home with Aaron while I drove to Fort Dodge to vist. We planned a shower for Tabitha and the twins, Eli and Ella on Sunday, so it was a great excuse to spend the weekend in Iowa. Tim stayed with Aaron so that I could have a little trial weekend away from Aaron before our Alaskan cruise in July, when we'll be leaving him for 7 days! I needed to try a weekend trip before that comes along! It went well and the boys had a great weekend together!.

I had fun in Fort Dodge spending time with my family, going to Lilly's 3rd birthday party on Saturday and having a great Saturday afternoon visit with Liz, Laura, Reed, and Drake. I wanted to share some pictures from the shower, but I'm so ashamed that I don't have more of Eli and Ella. We were so busy eating, talking, and having fun that I didn't realize that I really didn't take enough pictures. Oh well- Tabitha will have to share some new ones of the babies soon!!
