Sanibel Island, Florida

Tim & I were so fortunate to be able to take a trip by ourselves to Sanibel Island, Florida. Nanny & Papa came to Chicago to stay with Aaron & Maggie. They had a great time and said that they kids were awesome. Aaron went with my dad when he drove us to the airport, so Aaron was very interested in the fact that we were going to be going on a trip on an airplane. My mom and dad said that any time they saw an airplane, Aaron would point up and say, "Bye Mommy and Daddy!"

This was our first time in Sanibel Island and we really enjoyed it. The beaches are beautiful, light sand and full of shells. There is a dune type of area that separates all of the hotels and roads from the beach, which was something I had never seen before. We did an awesome sunset cruise where we got a nice look at the Sanibel lighthouse and pier, as well as dolphins and a beautiful sunset! We also did a shelling cruise that took us out to an island that you can only get to by boat. We saw a bunch of dolphins on the way and searched for shells in the water and on the beach. We ate tons of great seafood and spent lots of time on the beach.

Tim & I had a wonderful and relaxing trip. It was fun to spend a few days taking care of ourselves! Thanks, Mom & Dad!!!'
