Karen, Steve, Amy, Brett, & Claire visit us in Chicago!

Our dear friends, Karen and Steve, arrived from England in mid July. Amy, Brett, & Claire came from Fort Dodge and we all enjoyed a week of play time. As you will see from the photos, we did all kinds of fun things! We let the kids splash on the deck in Aaron's little pool, went to Millennium Park to see the sites and splash in the fountain, went to Navy Pier and rode the ferris wheel, did an architectural boat tour on the Chicago river, went to Chuck E. Cheese, and did tons of hanging around the house and deck talking and laughing! It was a wonderful visit!!!

Fourth of July - Nan, Papa, & Uncle Tom visit!

We had a fun and productive 4th of July week. Nan & Papa came to visit and while they were here we had a home project to complete! Tim & Dad did the lions share of the project, while Mom & I cared for Aaron, made meals, and did our best to help while Aaron was napping and in bed at night. The process was a rocky one, but the finished product looks great! We painted all of the doors in the house white and changed the hardware to some nice brushed nickel, rather than old brass. Aaron couldn't be hanging around the house during this project, so Mom and I took him to the zoo for some fun!

The bear was cooling off with some relaxing backstrokes! It was hilarious- he was just swimming back and forth doing the backstroke!

Aaron in the petting zoo watching the goats.

Aaron and Nan watching the sea lions.

Aaron and Nan had a great time on the carousel.

Tom arrived from New York on the 4th of July and we all went up to Milwaukee for SummerFest. We had a great time eating lots of good food, listening to some great music, and visiting with Paul, Michelle, Beth, Maria, and John.

This was the first time that Aaron had been given a full ice cream cone and he LOVED it!

On the 5th we went to the Taste of Chicago where we ate MORE good food! Aaron (and the rest of us) loved the Rainbow cone! He enjoyed some time on Daddy's shoulders!
